About J-ARTSWORK
Painted where silence still has a presence.
In the soft morning light of De Peel, where mist settles over the moorland like a silver veil, a painter opens the doors of her studio.
The studio sits at the edge of the vast landscape of De Peel, a place where stillness is never empty. The land carries memory, history and atmosphere, and that sense of place flows into every work the moment brush meets canvas.
Painting has always been part of the family. Easels by the window, canvases resting against walls and colour on fingertips were simply part of everyday life. The craft was not taught as a set of rules, but passed on through attention, instinct and dedication.
De Groote Peel remains a constant source of inspiration: open horizons, water reflecting the sky, birch trees standing quietly along the paths. Yet the paintings are not literal descriptions of what can be seen.
They hold something less tangible: wind moving across the peat, clouds drifting slowly overhead, and traces of lives once shaped by the wet earth. Flowers, animals and figures may appear, but atmosphere is always part of the subject.
Inside the studio, tradition and experimentation meet. An old wooden box of brushes sits beside contemporary pigments and vivid colour. The past is respected, but never copied. Every painting searches for its own voice.
When evening arrives and daylight dissolves into violet shadows, a new work remains on the easel, carrying both a personal gesture and the echo of generations that came before it.

Made to arrive with care.
Every original is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a personal thank-you card. Small details that make receiving the work feel considered from the first moment.
One of one
Every painting is an original.
New works are added regularly. Each painting is created as a single original and only one is ever available. The aim is simple: to make work that continues to hold your attention long after it enters the room.
